I was initially worried about buying a bed online. In saying that, I did A LOT of research on this model and company. There are other retailers out there that sell this series of beds, but I went with Amazon because of my experiences with Amazon. The bed came in 2 boxes weighing 83lbs total. The shipping was free, and arrived in under a week. Set up took less than 1 hour with my wife holding the side rails in place while i put it together. We are impressed with the mahogany finish, and this is REAL wood, not particle board. Hard to find real wood these days, let alone in the $300 range. It looks beautiful in our bedroom, and is just about the right height.It comes up to the back of knee-thigh area, so you can "sit" into bed. All in all this was a great purchase, quick delivery, ease of set up, real wood, great finish. Enjoy.

We moved from a full bed to a king (what a difference). We bought this platform bed to accompany a memory foam bed that we also bought on Amazon. My husband put it together while I was away and did it quickly and easily. The bed is sturdy. It doesn't make noise, wiggle, or seem cheap. I am so happy we decided on this one. You will be too.

This bed is a great bed if you are moving into an apartment and need something for a king size bed and you DO NOT want to a bed frame. Only minus is there is a separation between the wall and the mattress so sometimes my pillows fall through. I haven't found(and do not want to spend time finding) a proper headboard for the bed. It still looks amazing and very rich looking for the price. No creaks, very easy to put together. sturdy.
